Alkhidmat Foundation Dir completed another water project in Bagh Doshkhel. The water well was completed and handed over to the local population. The locals, especially the children were very happy at the completion of the project. Note that the area is water-scarce and people had to travel long to acquire drinking water before the completion of the project.
Water is critical to nourishing and fostering life. Access to clean drinking water reduces incidence of diarrhea, malaria, trachoma, hepatitis A & B and other waterborne diseases. Lack of clean water sources threatens life, destroys opportunity and undermines human dignity. According to WHO more than 63,000,000 Pakistanis lack access to clean water sources and every year 250,000 children die due to waterborne diseases. Donate now
The charity we support through SaafPaani, Al-Khidmat Foundation Pakistan is practically active in ensuring the provision of clean drinking water. Al-Khidmat’s activities involve installing hand-pumps through boring in arid lands, drilling water-wells in remote water-scarce areas, installation of water-filtration plants in cities, and facilitation of water in villages through water schemes. Al-Khidmat is doing whatever possible, according to the needs of the addressed regions. Donate now
